CARTERVILLE, Ill. - In today’s economy and job climate, dental insurance can be hard to come by. To help out those pressed a little bit harder than others by these tough times is the Create a Smile Dental Foundation. The Foundation pays for dental work for people who have no insurance. The organization had provided dental assitance to nearly 40 people in southern Illinois over the past five years.Founder John Flora started the Foundation because both he and his wife had dental problems and neither had insurance. ”We figured it would be a good thing to help people because we enjoy helping people,” said Flora. Many of the costs associated with the dental procedures the Foundation helps to provide are paid for thanks in part to a thrift store in downtown Carterville. The dentists who perform the procedures also help by providing some of their services at a reduced price.Individuals with dental problems can pick up an application at the thrift store on Division Street in Carterville. If you or a loved one needs to visit a dentist for a check-up or other dental procedure, contact Chicago family dentist Dr. Bagai at 773.767.1554 to make an appointment today.
