CHICAGO - The new president of the  Chicago Dental Society was sworn in at a ceremony in November.  David Kumamoto, DDS, will now lead the 4,100 member society, the largest society of the American Dental Association.

Kumamoto, who holds a part-time position at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, will oversee the society’s Midwinter Meeting Feb. 26 through March 1.  The convention is an exhibit of dental products.

The society’s new president has served as team dentist for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s athletic department for the past 20 years.  He also sits on the College of Dentistry’s Alumni Board.
