The American Dental Association (ADA), since 1949, has sponsored the ‘National Children’s Dental Health Month’ in February.
The hope of the ADA is to raise awareness of dental health and the importance it plays in a child’s overall health. The importance of maintaining good mental hygiene, brushing and flossing daily, and limiting sugary foods are important concepts to teach children . If a child learns and practices these concepts at a young age, they will be more likely carry them over as an adult.
