One of the most important oral health activities that an individual can do is to brush their teeth. However, many people do not properly brush their teeth. These individuals do not get the maximum benefit from brushing their teeth that they could be getting.
Here are couple of pointers that are important when brushing your teeth:
- Spend at least 2 minutes or 120 seconds brushing your teeth
- Focus on areas that have been troublesome before (past cavities, crowns, gums)
- Concentrate on which sections you are cleaning, and be sure to clean all around the teeth on every side
- For extra oral health, you can brush your teeth for fresher breath.
A good tooth brush and a toothpaste that are recommended by the American Dental Association are important for your health as well.
